Indigo Bay...can I stay?

Welcome to Mozambique!

Monday afternoon the Captain asks: Darling, let's get away this weekend. Where do you want to go before harvest steals all our time?

Silly little me thinks, ' would be nice. Let's run off to Plett or Knysna...' and the Captains says: " you have a passport? Great. Pack swimwear."

He picked me up at the airport with my favourite machine, the Airwolf, and from there we flew to Vilanculos and stayed at the Indigo Bay Resort on Bazaruto Island.

The view from our porch.

That's our bungalo behind me...

The weather was absolutely fabulous, and we spent most of the time in the water. The main pool has a bar attached to it, which is obviously where I spent most of my time making new friends.
We also flew out to have lunch, and snorkel on Princess Island. The island was deserted after the war, and the only sign that there was life on the island before is the remaining shells of the big hotels. When we arrived, the resort had already organised our lunch to be served underneath this tent.

I hope we do it again. Soon!
